A Heritage Celebration!
The Burns Lake Chamber of Commerce is working to plan a day with fun-filled events for the whole family to enjoy! Celebrate Canada safely while enjoying taking part in activities leading up to and including July 1st. Information about the events and how you can participate are posted below.
Canada Rocks!
Rock Hunting Contest
All the rocks painted for during the Canada Rocks painting contest have been hidden. Search Burns Lake and the Lakes District to find them!
Starting on Canada Day until the end of August, bring in one of the hidden Canada Rocks to get a free ice cream!
Colouring Contest
Canada Day Heritage Colouring Contest!
As part of the Canada Day Heritage Celebration, the Burns Lake Chamber is hosting a colouring contest! Enter to win in by colouring the picture of Lord and Lady Tweedsmuir! Drop off your completed picture at the Chamber office by 3 pm on July 1st, 2021.
This contest is open to all ages, with the age categories as follows:
- 4+ under
- 5-8
- 9-12
- 13-19
- 20-64
- 65+

Canada Day Market
Canada Day Market and Barbeque!
Join us on Canada Day, July 1, 2021, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm for a Community Market and Barbeque. Check out the local vendors and purchase a hamburger or hotdog! Canada-themed ice cream will also be available at the Chamber Office.
